Hehe thanks!
My janome didn’t come with a zipper foot, so I used to sew all my zippers in with a regular pressor foot…not very fun. Thankfully some of my vintage? machines and Jeremiah’s singer (the one I used in the video) came with zipper feet! Since I started using zipper feet almost 2 years ago I’ve never gone back
since old threadbanger it`s gone, you’re my hero?
Aww thank you! That means a lot to me
? BTW did you know that Corinne is back? She started a channel called craftovision…you should check it out!
What part stumps you? How/where? to measure, how measurements work for patterns, or how to use your measurements once you take them?
I would love to see how to? insert a invisible zipper!
. Id say all three. I dont know where to measure and then how to use the measurements to make or? follow a pattern.
You? make it look so easy! Thanks for this tutorial! Will practice soon!
Oh my gosh, I finally now know how to sew on a zipper. Thank you? so much for posting this video!! I’m going to try it out on my dress.
Loved the video.I am new to sewing and cannot wait to? try this.TFS!
omg thank you so much Whitney,? that was really helpful!!
I have to agree. You are awesome. I have been learning how? to sew through your tutorials.
I’m so glad you find it easy to follow! I have? several videos in my sewing basics series…the playlist is located on my main channel page if you want to check them out
Wow I have been doing it sooo wrong! Thanks Whitney you are awesome! Woould it be the same if you needed the zip to? go from the bodice to the skirt (a long zip)?
VERY HELPFUL ;D?
Need to alter a completed garment and add a zipper.? How do I do this?
I just found you here on YouTube! I’m a VERY beginning sewer and i love how you explain everything. I’ve just subscribed and am looking forward to having? you teach me! haha Thank you so much for taking all this time to share what you know!! Very awesome.
What is the difference between a regular foot and a zipper foot??
With a regular foot the needle is between two metal tabs, but with a zipper foot there is only metal on one side of the foot. That lets you sew a lot closer to the zipper teeth then you should be able? to otherwise.
great video! very helpful!?
This is not as easy as it looks. Next time I do this I’ll rely a lot less on the pins I put in place to make sure I’m on the seam. I managed to go quite a bit off course :/ oh well… It was a practice skirt? made with scrap fabric anyway. If you’re a newb like me make sure you take your time with this and constantly check to make sure you’re on the seam.
Gave? this another shot on a non practice piece. It worked out well but I took my time and kept checking to make sure I stayed on the seam. Also, I noticed she unzips it a little then sews, zips it back up then continues to sew. This is an important step I think because the zipper foot can’t go around the zipper head. Either way this was a very useful tutorial as I had no idea how to sew a zipper into a seam prior to watching it. Thanks! ^_^
omgiloveyousomuch?
like so much! This is soooo helpful. I’ve been sewing for a few years now, but zippers have always scared me a little. Time to get started on this non elastic? skirt!
THIS IS SOOOO MUCH BETTER THAN WHAT IVE BEEN DOIN? lol
Awesome job! Thank you.?
